What happens at the limit
Instead of a silent failure or a surprise bill, hitting a limit returns a clear, specific error — the same one you'd see in the response below.
- File size and storage budget are both checked before anything is written to storage.
- A reached limit returns a plain-language reason, not a generic failure.
- Freeing up space by deleting a photo is all it takes to upload again.

What happens once I reach the storage limit?
Uploads stop with a clear "storage limit reached" message before anything is charged. Delete a photo you no longer need and you'll have room again.
Do you compress or edit my photos?
No. Files are stored exactly as uploaded, in the original format, up to 10 MB each.
How long do photos stay up?
Indefinitely, until you delete them yourself using the delete link tied to that upload, or storage needs to be freed to stay within the personal cap.
Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. Your recent uploads are simply remembered in this browser so you can find and manage them again.
Is this really free?
Yes. Dropvane is sized to stay comfortably inside a free storage allowance, so there's no billing involved for normal personal use.
